Born 1952 in Tullibody, Clackmannanshire.
After graduating from Glasgow School of Art in 1975, worked as a graphic designer in Edinburgh.
Moved to the Scottish Borders in 1991 to work as a freelance designer and artist before becoming a full-time artist in 1999.
Exhibits regulary in Edinburgh and London.
He lives just outside the village of Clovenfords.
